About Intro to Latin Dance
Intro to Latin Dance is the easiest, friendliest way to start moving in Las Vegas. In a single 50-minute class you'll sample the building blocks of salsa, bachata, merengue and cumbia — the four rhythms that show up at every Vegas social, wedding and weeknight club. There's no pressure, no audition and absolutely no experience required. You don't need a partner, you don't need special shoes and you don't need to memorize anything before you arrive. Just show up, smile, and let the music guide you.
What you'll learn
Each session breaks down basic timing, weight transfer, frame and partner connection in plain English. You'll learn how to find the 'one' of the beat, how to lead or follow a turn without yanking, and how to stay relaxed while the music speeds up. We rotate partners every few minutes so you get reps with leads and follows of every height and skill level — the same skill that makes social dancing feel effortless when you finally hit the floor at a club or wedding reception.
Why this class works
Our beginner program is designed by working pros who teach hundreds of new dancers every month. Class caps stay small enough that the instructor can correct your footwork in real time, and every move is taught in tiny, achievable chunks. Students consistently tell us they were dancing a full song with a partner by the end of their first class, and most return week after week because the room feels welcoming instead of intimidating. If you've been waiting to 'get in shape' or 'feel ready' first, this is your sign — Intro to Latin Dance IS the prep.

Frequently asked
Do I need a partner?
No — Intro is built for solo walk-ins. The room pairs up and rotates every song, so by the end of night one you'll have danced with a dozen people.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you can move in. Smooth-soled shoes are best — avoid running shoes if you can.
Will I actually be dancing on day one?
Yes. Every Intro class ends with a full song danced with a partner, even on week one.
