Rooted Market: Halloween Edition

Rooted Market is a new kind of afternoon at My Roots Dance Studio: a market run by young entrepreneurs, put together with Mini's Market. The first edition has a Halloween theme and takes over the studio on October 25 from 1 to 5 PM.

The idea is simple. Kids and teens with a small business of their own get a real table in front of real shoppers. Running a booth means setting up a display, taking payments and talking to customers face to face, and practicing all of that in a friendly room is exactly the point of the day.

Vendors pay a kickoff rate of $20 per booth for this first market, and the number of spots is limited. To claim one, send a direct message to @MyRootsLV on Instagram. It helps to say what you plan to sell and who will be running the table, so the studio can plan the room.

Shoppers get a Halloween afternoon out of it too. Expect Halloween music playing across the studio, costumes on vendors and visitors alike, and trick-or-treating for the little ones, so it works as an early Halloween outing for the whole family before the big night.

Coming to shop is a good way to back young people from around Las Vegas who are trying something brave. Bring a costume, bring a bag for your finds, and give the youngest sellers a minute of your time: a first sale means a lot at that age.
