About Kids Salsa 201
Kids Salsa 201 is the next step for young dancers who've mastered the basics and want sharper turns, cleaner timing and more advanced partner work. Building on everything covered in Salsa 101, this intermediate class introduces turn pattern variations, footwork styling and the musicality that takes kids' salsa from 'cute' to genuinely impressive.
What you'll learn
We focus on hammerlocks, copas, double turns, cross-body lead variations and the styling that makes intermediate salsa pop. Kids also drill timing and musical phrasing so they can dance with the song, not just on top of it. Salsa 201 graduates often move into Performance Team to channel the new skills into showcases.

Intermediate classes work best when the room is full of dancers at similar levels — and that's exactly what Salsa 201 delivers.
