Latin Rhythms 101 is our flagship youth class — a structured introduction to the four pillars of Latin dance: salsa, bachata, merengue and cumbia. Designed specifically for kids, the class blends play, music and real technique so young dancers walk away with usable skills, growing confidence and a love for movement. Daytime scheduling makes it perfect for homeschool families and afternoon enrichment programs.

What you'll learn

Kids learn each dance's basic step, posture, partner connection (when age-appropriate) and rhythm recognition. Class moves quickly between styles to keep attention high, and our instructors use games, call-and-response and short choreography pieces to lock in the fundamentals. Beyond dance technique, kids build coordination, musicality, body awareness and the social confidence that comes from performing for a friendly room.
