About Latin Rhythms 201
Latin Rhythms 201 builds on the foundation of Latin Rhythms 101 with more complex patterns across salsa, bachata, merengue and cumbia. Kids who graduate from 101 move into 201 ready for deeper technique work, more partner play and the small-group performance pieces that build real confidence and stage presence.
What you'll learn
Each style gets more nuanced treatment — bachata gets sensual styling and body waves, salsa gets cross-body variations, merengue gets combo patterns, and cumbia gets the regional flavor cues that make the dance look authentic. Performance and presentation are integrated into class, so kids regularly perform short routines for family.
Why this class works
Multi-style Latin training builds versatile dancers who can adapt to any song or social setting. Our 201 program leverages everything from 101 and pushes kids into the kind of stretch zone where real growth happens. Class structure stays kid-friendly: lots of variety, lots of encouragement, lots of music kids actually love.
